About Me

Why leave classroom teaching?

I loved my time as a classroom educator.

I often referred to my students as “my kids” and they will forever hold a special place in my heart for their help in guiding me towards my next steps.

The relationships teachers form with their students are special and unique.

After five years in the classroom, I was looking for my next challenge. Pursuing a degree in learning technologies is something that excites me! I am ready to continue to build upon my skills from the classroom and take them towards helping students and teachers alike.

Who am I outside of the classroom?

I love spending time outdoors.

In July of 2024, I got married! We had our ceremony in Glacier National Park, overlooking St. Mary’s Lake. Our “honeymoon” was both before and after our wedding. We visited 6 national parks in total.

During football season, you can find me:

  • watching the Buckeyes play on Saturdays
  • cheering for the Kansas City Chiefs on Sundays

It is a lot of fun rooting for two teams who are both very good!
